We had an amazing stay at the Brosundet Gjestehus. It was raining when we arrived in Alesund and upon arrival, we were greeted by extremely kind staff and an offer of a hot bowl of fish soup and freshly baked bread. What a dream! We stated here for 4 nights in August, and I would recommend this hotel. It is a converted fish factory with interesting rooms, exposed beams and a good modern design vibe. We really enjoyed our stay at the Brosundet Gjestehus. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was nice, and the breakfast was very good. Our only "problem" was leaving our windows open the first night and being awakened very early by noisy birds outside our window. Shutting the windows at night solved that "problem". This was our favorite place to stay in Norway. All rooms are very cute and cozy, most with a great view of the water and the other art deco buildings surrounding. And the bathroom floors are heated! Wonderful place all around. more
It was a very quaint hotel with allergy free rooms and a view of the water. They had a beautiful breakfast with eggs, cheese and lots more! They offered coffee, tea and hot chocolate all day.
